The 2007 Idaho Regional Substance Abuse Prevention Needs Assessments are now available on PreventionIdaho.Net.  The 2007 edition of the Needs Assessments continue to build on lessons learned in previous years.  It is our hope that the new format is more readable and continues to advance the process of placing Idaho’s substance abuse prevention resources where they will have the greatest impact on the people who need them the most.

In SFY 2008, Benchmark’s Regional Managers will work with the RACs and Regional Directors offices to migrate the existing Regional Prevention Plans into formal risk and protective factor-based documents.  Risk and protective factor-based Regional Prevention Plans will better meet the evolving recommendations of SAMHSA.  Using a common format for all regions will also make comparisons easier and open the door to a statewide prevention plan.  The 2007 Idaho Regional Substance Abuse Prevention Needs Assessments may be accessed here.
