Beginning at the end of July, the Substance Abuse Program will once again host the Idaho Substance Abuse Prevention Institute.  It will be held July 30 - August 2.  We will be offering a variety of 1, 2, and 3 day courses. You may take one of the courses or a combination of a 2 or 3 day course with a 1-day course.  A brochure, detailing the courses to be offered and registration process, will be coming out in the next week.  The Prevention Institute will be held in Boise. 

There will be no registration fee for staff of prevention programs receiving Department of Health and Welfare funding through a state fiscal year 2008 contract with Benchmark.  For all others the fee will be $400.00 for all 4 days, $325 for the 2 or 3-day courses and $200 for the 1 day course.  Travel assistance will be made available to staff of programs contracted with Benchmark.  Continuing education units will be available for an additional fee.  If you have any questions please call me at 208.334.6542 or email me at pappint@dhw.idaho.gov.
